Dr. Sharma is an expert surgeon. He performed a bankart repair and remplissage surgery for my left shoulder. I went to see him with MRI results and before even looking at what I brought, he took his time to diagnose the issue by performing different motion / resistance tests. Based on that, he hypothesized what could be wrong and then proceeded to look at the MRI results to test his hypothesis, which was spot on. He also identified bone loss from the images and had me to CT scan to confirm. No other doctor who had seen me before had identified the latter. He was also able to reassure my worrying parents throughout the process. Can’t recommend him enough.

I visited Dr Vishwadeep for my persistently dislocating shoulders as a result of an accident. They used to dislocate even with minimal activity - be it stretches, lateral lifts, jumping jacks or even with activities as trivial as putting on a tshirt, going down the stairs jerkily or sleeping on the arm, which greatly impacted my quality of life. I was so afraid that I had stopped sleeping on my arm or exercising with the intent of minimising dislocations. I had visited other doctors too in the past, who recommended physiotherapy or surgery. But, just physiotherapy did not do anything to make the issue better. Dr Sharma gave me and my parents the confidence to finally proceed with the surgery after explaining the physiology and all the different types of procedures at length, and performed the operation on my right shoulder this May. Recovery was (is) slow, painful and tiring, but at every point, I felt at ease since the doctor used to follow up regularly with us and my rehabilitation specialists. Once fully recovered, I plan to have my other shoulder operated on by him. Tl;Dr: I highly recommend Dr. Sharma for any shoulder related issues; his expertise and attentive communication throughout the recovery process make him an excellent choice. :)

I visited Dr Vishwadeep with my wife having injury in her left shoulder which she could not move. She was diagnosed having partial tear in supra & infra spainatus. Dr Vishwadeep first suggested to go for physiotherapy which could not recover her from injury. Later he suggested to go for surgery. We agreed to his advice. After surgery, to our great surprise recovery was so fast that she could start moving her left shoulder after 15 days. Though physiotherapy was also required to be normal. She had undergone similar surgery on her right shoulder where recovery took longer time and also she had severe pain at that time but Dr Vishwadeep did the surgery so well that recovery time was lesser than the previous one. Moreover, a patient is half cured by the behavior of Doctor. Dr Vishwadeep has ever smiling face and his way of treating his patients is commendable. Thank You Doctor for treating my Parents. Your experience and excellence played a big role in our life. My father was treated for Total Knee Replacement and Mother was treated for Rotator Cuff Surgery. My father was going through extreme pain from last 3 years but reluctant for replacement surgery however advised by Doctor’s. Last Year also we planned for surgery but he denied for the same. In Aug’23 we met Dr. Vishwadeep in Fortis Vasant Kunj as my mother slipped while walking and having pain in her right shoulder and she was not able to move her right hand properly. In the very first visit Doctor understood the problem and explained further course of treatment, he advised for Rotator Cuff surgery after an MRI. The way Dr. Vishwadeep treated my mother and explained the treatment it gave me confidence that I took my father also for consultation. His knowledge and explanations of treatment were so good that my father also agreed for TKR in very first consultation with him. We planned surgery for my mother on 4th Sep and for father on 15th Sep’23. Both surgeries were nicely done with minimum pain. The staff is also very co-operative and they ensured smooth consultation, surgery and follow up. (Thanks to Ms. Sudha and Mr. Rakesh) My parents are very happy with the treatment and returning back to their normal life. They are now able to do some of their daily work themself.

This is an appreciation post for Dr. Vishwadeep Sharma at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj. I brought in my mother with a dislocated shoulder and acute pain that came with it. We met Dr. Sharma and apart from his super medical acumen (which I will mention later) his empathy was extraordinary. His providing instant comfort to the patient, however critical, is worth a mention. Of course post the initial procedural formalities, we were informed that it is a rather complicated dislocation coupled with a fracture and damaged tendons around the area. What followed was a detailed briefing to us by Dr. Sharma explaining the correct situation and the procedure that he intended to conduct. The surgery was a rather complex one which went on for about 5-6 hours. Post surgery also he came and explained to us with visual demonstration as to the procedure that he had conducted. Showed us the bruised area and the mechanics of it. We, of course, marvelled at the super engineer, GOD, of how the engineering inside each of our bodies are!! Dr. Sharma not only conducted the surgery with great precision but his guidance and care have helped my mother recover rather well in a short span of time (touchwood). In my mother’s words Dr. Sharma is a super doctor and such a good doctor!! His approach towards a holistic appreciation of the patient from all aspects is just amazing. Taking care of each aspect whether it be the sugar levels, the BP, it’s really good. Doctors like Dr. Sharma provide the patients much needed impetus to believe in themselves and have the confidence in themselves, which goes a long way in the process of recovery.
